TEAM HUMANITY "T-SHIRTS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE" CHALLENGE

This is a Team Humanity career technology challenge that will focus on Fashion Design and Branding. 

Students from Monessen School District, Laurel Highlands School District and Brownsville School District, have signed on to spend a full day once a week for three weeks to learn screen printing, vinyl cutting, pattern digitizing, sewing and embroidery, as well as an introduction to graphic design. They will use the heat press, the embroidery and sewing machines, I Pad Pro's and Master Class. They will learn the concepts of design, branding and marketing and will be introduced to the Adobe Creative Suite. 

Each School has identified a team of students to participate in this scholastic enrichment competition.

Each team will participate on a different day and will be asked to come up with a social messaging campaign that reflects their interest and their community. 

The challenge will start the week of November 1 and run through the week of December 10. The students will be asked to come up with a message, a design, and a completed product T-Shirt. These products will be presented by the students during an Open House on December 12th. 

Teams will be judged on creativity, knowledge, and ability to work together to create a final product. The winning team will have the opportunity to have their product produced in quantity to sell at Shoppe 13 in Uniontown.
