Team Humanity After School is a supercharged enrichment program geared toward the advancement of elementary and middle school students after school. Students will be involved in structured, entertaining activities that will help them develop and strengthen their academic, social, emotional, and physical skills. Parents will be happy to know that their children will always be supervised in this safe environment.
We provide a safe and welcoming afterschool environment, with a wide range of activities and opportunities for our students to grow. We inspire our students to be lifelong learners, encourage creative expression and build their sense of self-confidence. We encourage our students to think big, increase engagement in their communities, and make positive contributions to the world around them.
In the TeamHumanity enrichment programs, we believe in learning by doing – our project-based curriculum challenges our students to learn new skills and apply their knowledge by creating works that have a direct impact on the world around them. Play is also a very important part of the learning process, and we provide our students with plenty of opportunities to explore on their own under the helpful, safety-conscious eye of their instructors.
At Team Humanity After School, we use a practical, results-oriented mix of both modern and classical instructional methods, plus our own classroom-tested experience in making the learning process fun:
PROJECT BASED LEARNING
At each level of development, whether working on their own or in teams, we teach our students to solve problems by asking questions, utilizing their own skills and learning new ones. Students are constantly creating works which can benefit themselves and their own communities.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Our after school routine for kids is geared towards providing a framework of skills from which they can set and achieve goals, show empathy for others, build positive relationships, and make good decisions.

SOCRATIC METHOD
Asking questions that investigate how we actually know what we think we know is a cornerstone of the Western educational tradition. For students of any age, these types of inquiries are surprisingly effective at switching students’ brains into the ‘on’ position and keeping them that way.
Here is an example of how Socratic Method can be a strong positive influence in the classroom. Edutopia.org.
